The hackathon, named Illuminate is a one-week intense gathering of technology enthusiasts, developers, product managers, innovation specialists and entrepreneurs to re-think the myriads of problems confronting the Africa’s finance space and developing technology driven solutions that can help leapfrog the current challenges and create the desired tomorrow today.

The participants will be exposed to sessions led by top Fintech business leaders and finance executives and other events to ensure the incubates are well prepared for success after the programme.

As expected, the event will climax with a demo day where participating teams will get an opportunity to pitch and showcase their idea to a diverse audience of community/business leaders, investors, advisors, etc. SkyCapital will reward the top 3 teams with equity funding, technical support and free office space.
