Rotary club hosts economic and community development seminar, set to boost agribusiness

The Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa, One of the newly chartered Rotary clubs in District 9110 Nigeria is taking her rotary activities to another level while leaving no stone unturned in empowering the community.

It is a standard in Rotary International that the month of October is specially designated as Economic and Community Development Month. It is required of a vibrant Rotary Club to carry out a program that will directly help in developing the economy and the community at large.

In a bid to commemorate the month of October, the Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa is organising a Seminar with the topic; Agriculture as a key for economic transformation, food security and community development

Seasoned experts in the world of Agriculture, Economic Development and Real Estate have been lined up to make the day impactful.

Speaking with the Club President, Rotarian Adeyemi Aseperi, he revealed that “Agriculture is considered as the centre of discourse in this year’s seminar because it is one of the most underutilized tool available for economic and human development”

The President said that the seminar is planned to hold at the club special meeting that is scheduled to hold on Friday 23rd October, 2020.

The Seminar is expected to start by 4:00pm at Erith Apartments and Suits, Awuse Estate, Salvation, Opebi Ikeja Lagos.

The Lead speaker for this special event is Prince Akeem Oyedele Akere, the CEO of Flora and Fauna Culture and Services alongside other discussants; Afioluwa Mogaji African Farmer (Chief Executive X-ray Farms Consulting) and Mr. Oluwagbemiga Adekoya (Cofounder Adbond Harvest and Homes).

Speaking further, the President said: “the seminar is expected to gave a shift in thought as Agriculture is an area that is very imperative”. He urged members and guests to come prepared to learn in this seminar which will help them contribute to Economic and Community Development.
