UNIOSUN COMMENCES SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATION….
…SET TO ADMIT NEW STUDENTS FOR 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Osun State University under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola has commenced the second-semester examination of the 2019/2020 academic session despite the COVID-19 lockdown, ASUU strikes among others that affected most institutions in the country and made them not to have a stable academic calendar.
The examination which started on Monday, 30th of November for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the institution will end on Friday, 18th of December, 2020 for the 2019/2020 academic session as fresh students that passed the University’s Post UTME screening will begin admission processes for the 2020/2021 session immediately.
The University Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji while speaking on the commencement of the second-semester examination stated that the management of the University is committed to academic excellence and this is why we embrace virtual teaching when other institutions are on lock-down and continue with our examinations just to maintain a stable academic calendar.
“It will be recalled that Osun State University is one of the Universities that have embraced virtual teaching even before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and ever since, the University has been operating digitally, including holding matriculations for undergraduate, postgraduate and several of its meetings remotely.”
“We hereby use this medium to inform all students that selected Osun State University as their first choice and have done the University’s UTME screening that the university will be communicating with them shortly on the status of their admission ahead of resumption for the 2020 /2021 academic session early in the year 2021,” Adesoji added.
