Foremost economist and management consultant, Dr. ‘Biodun Adedipe, said, this evening, that the Nigerian business landscape is loaded with opportunities begging to be taken. While delivering a lecture, at the 3rd All Administrators Conference, at the Sheraton Hotel today, the highly rated economist highlighted positive analytical mindset as prerequisite to seeing the numerous hidden avenues from which anyone can develop revolutionary business ideas.

Adedipe gave instances of the influx of investors from Japan, the UAE,China and Israel into Nigeria as indicators of the many opportunities lying unseen by local investors and young people.

He explained, “the investors that are coming to conduct market research here have access to the same data like us; but they interpret these data differently”.

“While we see challenges and risks from the data, they see opportunities for rewarding enterprises”, he added.

He further made reference to how neighboring countries such as Niger, Benin, and Togo cannot survive without recourse to the Nigerian market as another pointer to the huge potential of the country. Since the population of Africa’s populous nation is projected to double within 50 years, access to the market is an attraction to every smart investor.

More, he encouraged businesses and leaders to focus on quality as a strategic tool for growth. For him, any business that concentrates on providing quality products and services can compete with the best.

As well, he advised business leaders to pay attention to the constant advancement in digital technology; mentioning that every day the business operating environment is getting transformed due to new disruptive technology popping up here and there. Hence, the best thing that can happen to any business leader is to lead the change or quickly embrace it when it happens.
