Polaris Bank to support SMEs in the health sector with bundle loans

Polaris Bank, once known as Skye Bank, has reiterated its support for the growth of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria. The bank recently introduced a loan bundle with the aim of helping entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector gain access to funding on favourable terms.

The Central Bank of Nigeria having directed all deposit money banks in the country to push 65% of deposit to the real sector as loan, top financial institutions are selectively looking into viable sectors to channel favorable and unique credit offerings.

Head of Products and Market Development at the group level in Polaris Bank, Adebimpe Ihekuna, said the bank is passionate about providing necessary support for the private sector in a bid to aid faster economic transformation in the country.

According to her, “Polaris Bank is passionate about the health sector in Nigeria and is willing to support the private sector to drive the most desired growth needed for its transformation,”

The major focus of the loan bundle are Pharmacies, Optometry and Dental clinics, including medical laboratories and diagnostic centers. Entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector who need funding, and fall within the specified segment should approach any Polaris Bank branch in their areas.
